The waiting is over!テつ On Thursday 30 September, we held the awards lunch for the British Business Boost and announced the winners.テつ And what a great event it was!
All ten finalists were there and they should all be congratulated, celebrated and recognised.テつテつテつ All of them had remarkableテつhistories and excitingテつopportunities.テつ They reminded me once again of the passion, drive and resilience of Britain’s owner managers – the “unsung heroes” of the economy.テつ The businessesテつrepresented a wonderful cross-section of British inventiveness and vision including several high tech businesses, innovative engineering businesses and high value-adding service businesses.
It’s our joy and our privilege to help them to build even better businesses and to contribute even more to leading us all into the recovery.
I was delighted to be one of the founding partners of the British Business Boost along with Siemens Enterprise Communications who generously sponsored the competition.テつ And I was thrilled to work with such hugely successful fellow judges in Tristram Mayhew, founder and Chief Gorilla of Go Ape, Julie Meyer, founder of Ariadne Capital and Entrepreneur Country, Sarah Willingham from BBC’s “The Restaurant”, and Liam Mangan, Channel Sales Director at Siemens Enterprise Communications.
Of course, there could only be one overall winner.テつ And what a business it is!テつ
The winners of the British Business Boost are:

- Zentek Solutions who design and deliver innovative IT solutions to enhance educational and learning environments
- Kell Systems who make cabinets for IT servers which eliminate noise and significantly reduce heat
- Pudsey Diamond who marry creativity with engineering and technology to manufacture innovative street lighting.
All three runners up received two places each on The Manager’s Toolkit.
