We caught up with Pam Calvert, the Managing Director and asked her our three key questions:

What’s the one thing that you would say to someone at an earlier stage of their business journey to inspire them? Building and running a business is one of the most creative things you can do, though it doesn’t always feel like that. Creating an enterprise that expresses your personal values is endlessly rewarding and servicing your customers distinctively and better is fantastic. Don’t forget to give yourself a huge pat on the back at the end of every year, and enter awards because it helps you to dwell on your successes!

Based on your experience, what’s the single most important tip that you could offer someone at an earlier stage of their business journey? Always hire the best talent.  They will always repay your investment in them. I learnt this lesson too late and I have no doubt it impeded the growth of my business.

If you had your time again, what’s the one thing that you’d do differently to grow and develop your business? Go on a growth programme, like those offered by Gerard and his team, at an earlier stage! I would have had much more confidence to invest in our growth. I definitely left it too late!
